What’s in the Divemaster training program?
In 2023, we returned our PADI Divemaster Training program to normal as the world returned to normal. As always, we will personally work with each individual candidate to provide a training program to meet their lifestyle and travel plan. Our professional training focus for every candidate is to “be a leader who mentor and motivate others. Gain dive knowledge, supervision abilities, and become a role model to divers around the world.”
There are three training segments in the PADI Divemaster Course: Knowledge Development & Dive Theory (via Elearning and discussion), water-skills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment.
Your instructors train and guide you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through out your academic and practical activities, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities.
Topics and practical workshops include:
- The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster
- Supervising dive activities and assisting with student divers
- Diver safety and risk management
- Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills
- Business of diving and your career
- Awareness of the dive environment
- Dive setup and management
- Mapping an open water site
- Conducting dive briefings
- Organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive
- Conducting a scuba review and skin diver course
- Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs
PADI Divemaster Digital Pak with Slates
PADI Divemaster candidates are required to have the latest PADI Divemaster training materials during and after their training. The DM Digital Pak includes all required materials for the newly updated training methodology including Divemaster slates and the following digital core curriculums:
- Divemaster eLearning – Content from the Divemaster Manual in a dynamic, interactive environment integrated with the Divemaster Video
- All assessments (Knowledge Reviews, final exam and eRecord)
- Skill demonstration videos
- eRDPML with Instructions for Use (60470-1)

PADI Member Application Fee & Materials Pricelist (2024)
In the PADI professional membership ranks, all of the administrative and associated fees are serviced by the PADI Asia Pacific Office in Sydney, Australia. Your professional membership and certification fee are to be paid by you (via Credit Card or bank transfer) directly to PADI in Australian Dollars. They are as follow:
