The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is designed for beginner and certified open water divers to gain more experience by taking on five very exciting dives, with focus in deep diving, underwater navigation and three or more other amazing adventures. The PADI Advanced certification shows you are more dedicated and able to go 30 meters deep, comfortably navigating your dives, understanding the challenging dive conditions such as drift, night and more. The advanced course is mostly about diving, hands on experience and fun!

PADI AWARE Sharks & Ray Conservation Diver + Advanced Course
During this PADI AWARE course, divers learn the basics about sharks and rays biology, inform about conservation issues affecting them, receive guidance on how to take action, go diving in marine protective areas for the chance of sightings, participate in the AWARE Global Shark & Ray Census – a PADI AWARE citizen science initiative that will provide important sharks and rays population data to scientists and conservation managers.
Get insights into how dedicated divers are protecting the Blacktip reef sharks, whale sharks and Leopard sharks in our local water. Upon completion, you will earn a PADI Advanced Diver certification and PADI AWARE Sharks & Rays Conservation Diver certification.

Standard Course Schedule
The Course consists of 5 different adventure dives (listed below) along with 5 chapters in the revised PADI Advanced Open Water eManual (English). The theory will be done independently before the dives.

Sample Course Schedule
- Day 1
During the months of November to April, the course begins between 8-9am, at the Dive Center. You will review the dive plan with your instructor before the adventure dives.
During the summer-fall season, the dive sites will be at the Raya Islands. The day begins at 7:30 AM for Kata Beach area (different time depending on your hotel location) shuttle van transfer to Chalong pier. Then board a spacious, comfortable dive boat which will have a light breakfast, buffet style lunch, fruit, tea, coffee and drinking water all FREE. The boat returns to pier between 4:30-6pm.
- Day 2
Your day begins at 7:30 AM for Kata Beach area (different time depending on your hotel location) shuttle van transfer to Chalong pier. Then board a spacious, comfortable dive boat which will have a light breakfast, buffet style lunch, fruit, tea, coffee and drinking water all FREE. Your instructor will continue with your dive plan while on the way to dive sites. You will enjoy three dives (Raya Islands, Phi Phi Islands or Shark Point Marine Sanctuary) and complete the required adventure dives for the course. The boat returns to pier between 4:30-6pm.
Prerequisites
- Must be a certified PADI Open Water Diver (or other equivalent certification)
- Must be at least 10 years old (Jr. Adventure Diver) or 12 years old (Jr. Advanced OW Diver)
